Slate Roofing

Slate roofing has the ability to last for multiple centuries and is resistant to almost everything. The downfall being, though, that it’s heavier than clay tile and requires even more specialized installation, in addition to the hefty price tag of this roofing material in the first place. In order to install slate roofing, a house must be engineered to support over 1,000 pounds per square. Slate roofing is as high-end as it gets, but in the right situation have been known to last over 100 years.
